She wasn't thrilled to have her pictures taken but we think they turned out pretty good. Next time she might be sleeping.

Ameliah is 3 weeks old!

3 weeks in, and Ameliah's doing great! Not doing much more than sleeping, eating, filling diapers, and looking around. Last week we took our first trip to Costco in the stroller. Granny and Papa are here, and on Sunday Ameliah and Papa took an opportunity to take a nap. We think she's pretty great!

Video before a diaper change....

and after a nap....typically she doesn't like the changing table.

Pictures from the changing table....

Not always a happy place but she just woke up from a nap so she is pretty docile.

Napping on Dad...

A developing theme. She is quite the snuggler.

another restful night...

she is sleeping through the night already. Ann got about 5 hours and I got about 6 hours. Ameliah got about 12 =) She does like to snuggle. We are in the process of taking her home right now.

Note to Grandparents (and others that might be interested): If you want to download either skype or google video (its a real easy download from your gmail account) when we call you could get a live video of her.

she has eyes....

This really is the first time that I have seen her eyes. Thought you all would like to see too.

Just Chillin'

We're having a good afternoon looking out over the Charles River and Ameliah is sleeping... thought we'd get a few pictures.

Restful night

We had a very restful night. Ann got about 2 hours on and off and then about 5 hours straight this morning. Ameliah is quite the snuggler so instead of going in the crib she slept on me from about 4am to 9am. I got some sleep from 11p to 4aish. All and all not the sleep we have had in the past but I hear "good sleep" gets redefined.

So here is a short video of her crying right after the nurse took her off my chest. She had a big ol'poop which she must have dropped on me =) I didn't take it personal....kind of an honor actually.

content after a meal...

we are going to take some more pictures tomorrow.

at MGH, Blake #1360.....

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while but we have been pretty out of it. Trying to sleep when we get a second here and there. Ameliah is sleeping quite a bit and nursing like a champ already.

Visitors: We would love to have visitors but we are going to ask if you come tonight (Feb 2) please come between 5p and 8p. We hope to get some rest tonight since its been scarce. If you'd like to visit tomorrow we were thinking that noon to 8p would be a good time for us. Text me (402-720-3822) before you come by and I will let you know if it works for us.

Looks like we get to go home Thursday morning so if you'd like to visit us there please feel free to do so. Again, just text me before you come over. I might push you back a little depending on how things are going.

Exciting times. Tiring but exciting.

Love,
Ann, Dan & Ameliah

PS. More pictures/videos to come =)

Update from MGH, 9:10p

So not much to report. The doctor said she is 6cm; 7cm with contractions. The doctor just broke Ann's water but said it could be a while. We have such a peace right now. We have great doctors taking care of us, a great view of the Charles River, and a great God guiding us. Good times! Looking forward to seeing this little girl's face.

Update from MGH, 5:50p

So we thought Ann's water broke but it looks like it didn't. The doctor recommended that we start some pitocin to get the membrane to rupture naturally. Also the exam showed at at 5 cm plus which isn't much change from before. I am sure the pitocin will move things right along. Continue to pray for Ann and little Miss Brown's health and the doctor/nurse's wisdom.

Any time now baby?

Around Noon

This is a picture of Ann around noon before the epidural. Thought you all might like to see a picture. Doesn't she look great?
